Measure Description
Percentage of female patients aged 65-85 years of age who ever had a central dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) to check for osteoporosis
Instruction
This measure is to be reported a minimum of once per performance period for patients seen during the performance period. Female patients aged 65-85 years of age should have a central DXA measurement performedat least once to screen for osteoporosis. This measure maybe reported by eligible clinicians who perform the quality actions described in the measure based on the services provided and the measure-specific denominator coding.
